Irwin kicks-off new on-pack promotion on saws and tapes

Irwin Tools has launched a 2012 promotional campaign for some of its most popular products, including the best-selling range of universal handsaws and their recently launched tape measures.

Prizes for customers range from VIP trips to a motorsports event in the USA and televisions, to hand tools and power tool accessories, while merchants can win tickets to Euro 2012 or the Heineken Rugby Cup Final 2012.

The promotion will run until 31st March 2012 and builds on the phenomenal success of the 2011 ‘on-pack’ campaign, but will feature more prizes and last longer than ever before. All end-users are guaranteed to win one of 680,000 prizes every time they buy a Jack 880 20”/22” handsaw, an EVO universal handsaw, or a 5m / 8m Tape from January onwards.

All of these popular products, will be at the forefront of customers’ minds thanks to a trade press advertising campaign, new point of sale materials including special branded dump bins, floor standing display units, header cards, direct mailers and special offers for merchants.

Special on-pack stickers have been applied to the saw sleeves and tape measure packaging offering instant win notification - buyers simply peel back the sticker to find what prize they have won. They then remove the sticker, compete their details and send them to IRWIN, along with proof of purchase, to receive one of 680,000 prizes.

Prizes for customers include VIP trips to the Irwin NASCAR Motorsports race in the USA,  3D-Ready 42” Televisions, replica football or rugby team shirts, balls, t-shirts, Parker Pens and Irwin hand tools and power tool accessories.

Merchants who take part in the promotion will go into a draw to win either VIP tickets to Euro 2012 or the Heineken Rugby Cup Final 2012.
