The following products and services generated the most enquiries in PHPI’s April issue and were collated to appear in the June issue of PBM.
Quick Clips for 68mm rainwater downpipes are designed to make fitting guttering systems ‘a breeze’. Installers are said to be reporting faster fixing times, more reliable alignment and adjustment alongside cleaner, smarter lines by using the clips.
The EFEL brand of wood and gas cast iron stoves encompasses traditional models like Stanford and Harmony, plus the modern C range. The stoves are high efficiency, clean burning, user-friendly appliances and include an accurate air distribution and control system.
The SlimVario and SlimFix screwdrivers are said to be perfect for ensuring that screws are tightened securely in even the most awkward of spaces. The geoTHERM ground source heat pump range includes the geoTHERM and the geoTHERM exclusive. Using latent energy stored in the ground, the heat pumps can generate hot water for space heating and domestic hot water use, feeding both underfloor heating or radiator systems.
In polished chrome, the Tease range includes two mono basin mixers; one standard, for small to medium sized bathrooms, and one tall, for a larger proportioned bathroom. The deck mounted bath shower mixer additionally boasts a contemporary single mode shower kit with an easy clean smooth hose.
This piece of kit prevents the build-up of ice on external pipe runs from condensing boilers. The self-contained unit continually monitors the outside air temperature. When it falls below 5°C, a fan pushes air into a heater unit which then blows warm air down the pipe to ensure it remains free of ice.
Naked Plate UFH is designed as a more cost-effective, streamlined and space efficient version in comparison to certain traditional preformed plate UFH systems, fitting beneath flooring where there is less vertical space.
It uses a castelled fixing system comprised of raised burls which firmly grip the company’s heating pipe in place. The preformed plate is laid over the sub floor and then covered with screed.
Compatible with the company’s range of energy efficient condensing boilers, the Trace heating kit — which comprises a relay board, detecting wire and weather probe — helps protect against the effects of frozen condensate by detecting the exterior temperature and adjusting it accordingly to ensure the condensate pipe does not freeze.
