The following products and services generated the most enquiries in PB’s March issue and were collated to appear in the May issue of PBM.
Cabershield is a moisture-resistant P5 tongue-and-groove board with a permanent protective non-slip coating. The product is made from 22mm P5 board and features a tough polyurethane coating permanently bonded to the top surface.
A complete box solution for roof leaks and repairs is how Sika describes its Sikalastic-560 kit. It contains Sikalastic-560 liquid repairing membrane, and the Sikalastic Fleece reinforcement, as well as gloves and application brush, in a convenient box with handles.
With the Tuff Form wetroom former, the material can be effortlessly trimmed on site for speed and convenience. Available in a range of sizes, it is suitable for both wooden and solid floors.
It is said to be exceptionally strong to accommodate wheelchair access, with the manufacturer stating it is capable of withstanding a total weight of 40 stone.
The machines in the TDM1 are supplied in system kits with the specially developed drilling machine, guide mechanism, wet or dry tile drills and masonry drills to match the tile drills, all in a tough carrying case.
Designed especially for loft floors, STEICOtop is a wood fibre insulation board suitable for light footfall without the need for further covering. The product features a high density surface and is said to be lightweight and easy to handle.
The material is available in thicknesses of 80 and 100mm with a board size of 1,200 x 400mm.
One-piece dormers were introduced by the company over 25 years ago, and its new range features GRP tiling already fixed. The new design comes complete with dry valley and abutment flashings and, if required, with front apron flashing to ensure a waterproof installation.
The company has extended and enhanced its ultra-slim Thermoboard low-build plumbed underfloor heating range with the introduction of Low-Build 25. Thermoboard Low build is a UFH solution where height is at a premium or where the existing flooring substrate presents challenges.
It consists of 25mm deep insulation panels with a pre-fitted heat diffuser and pre-routed channels for UFH pipe.
Next Generation Plus Gloss is targeted at those who prefer traditional alkyd-based products to the new breed of high performance water-based acrylic systems available, whenever a gloss finish is required.
The makers maintain that the high sheen finish retains its ‘just painted’ appearance for longer, and has great levelling properties, providing an excellent foundation for the gloss to adhere to.
Immix and Elements are the latest two products in the company’s contemporary stairparts collection. Designed for a premium finish, both ranges are suitable for domestic refurbishment projects and each is said to benefit from a quick assembly and ease of fit.
Immix is a mix of timber, glass and gun metal connectors, whilst Elements features pre-cut metal balustrades.
The UltraSeal range of foam weatherseals is suitable for timber vertical sliding sashes and casement windows.
Including a number of versatile, high-performance foamed weatherseals designed to provide high levels of energy-efficiency and weatherproofing for windows and doors, tests have shown that they are impervious to paint and stain, are tear resistant, unaffected by rot, mould and mildew and are also resistant to UV light.
